"Spring has returned and has begun to unfold her beautiful array, to throw herself on wild-flower couches, to walk around on the hills and summon her songsters to do her sweet homage."

Exquisite! I love the depth... the violet ain't bad either! Spring is delightful!
Hey there Cindy.
Just on my way to work and passed a field of purple. Had to stop the car and go see it closer.
Many thanks.
My wife, Lynne, and I also saw this spectacular field and I photographed it too! Today I went home via Burnetts Creek Road and found that the Trout Lillies are blooming at nearly a dozen massive spots! Check it out.
Hello.
Thanks. I'll check out the trout lily today. Storms are coming. Let's hope the winds and rains do not damage them.

Oh violets! I loved them as a child. I used to eat them! They have a lovely sweet flavor. Isn't spring glorious!
Hello again Gwen!
I'll have to snack on a few. Thanks for the tip!
Visited William Hastie Park on its Dedication Day and the Chandler family members were there. Last night we discovered a whole drainage area fillied with what seemed like millions of flowering phlox! And then a slight ravine filled with hundreds of foam flowers. You gotta see these, just take the level trail back to the pond and turn right. We were there today to photograph these and a strange orange, five petal flower found on the View Park Trail.
Is this the entrance off old Sevierville Highway?
