“I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately, I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, To put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die Discover that I had not lived.”
Passage from "Walden: or, Life in the Woods," first published in 1854.

Never heard this, like it, could be my epitaph if I work a little harder.
Such a classic quote, so worth repeating over and over. Recently "life is short and silly" has been my mantra, and instead of the old fear and angst, I get a thrill of joy every time. What a gift this brief little blink is.
