Thank you to all who joined me early last evening for a gentle paddle around Mead's Quarry Lake. The end of day tour of the 25-acre accidental lake—man made, a by-product of the quarrying operation that ended at the site in the late 1970s—was an Ijams Nature Center family program. Even though it was overcast, the conditions on the water were ideal. Placid and peaceful.
