change?

Although totally arbitrary, this day, the first of the New Year, often produces quiet reflection and the need to contemplate life’s mid-course corrections. It's a good day to look at the stars and see if we are adrift.

In honor of such self-evaluation, here are a few lines from the 13th century poet simply know as Rumi.

“Those who don’t feel this love
pulling them like a river,
those who don’t drink dawn
like a cup of springwater
or take in sunset like supper,
those who don’t want to change,
let them sleep.”

- Thanks Karen Sue.

Guess what one of my Christmas gifts was... you book! I'm anxious for some quiet time to sit and read. I also want to send it to you for you to sign it.

Love ya!

Hello dear Rhonda. Happy New Year. Well what about that!

Certainly send it and I'll sign it and mail it back. I would have given you one myself but, you see, author's do not own their books, their publishers do. I got ten free books for writing it but I gave those away a long time ago.

As odd as it sounds, authors have to buy their own books, just like everyone else.

P.S. I did my own illustrations too.

I know you illustrated it, that's one of the things I love about it.

Remember those framed photos you gave me? The dead bird? My boys think that's so cool!

Yes, I would think you would have a few boxes full of books to give away. Funny thing, that.

I will send it soon.
