kudzu in flower

Many people are unaware that kudzu actually blooms, but it produces a somewhat flashy flower at this time of the year.

But, much like the art of Michelangelo after the Renaissance, the private parts of kudzu are rather demurely hidden under leaves.

  1. I didn't know that! All I know about kudzu is that it grows at a frightening rate. I feel like I read about it in Cricket Magazine, or maybe Ranger Rick, where it was compared to a plant version of Godzilla.

  2. Hello Aby. Yes, even though it's slowly taking over my part of the world, it does have a pretty flower.

  3. Hello Gwen.

"Plant version of Godzilla" that's good, but it's more like a creepy green fog that is spreading over the countryside.
